WHEN LIFE FEELS HEAVY, IT’S HARD TO SEE A WAY FORWARD
Emotional pain can be subtle or overwhelming - grief that won't let go, relationship strain that wears you down, or stress that quietly builds. Without support, even small decisions can feel weighty. You may question your strength or feel disconnected from who you are. But reaching out is not defeat - it's courage.
And you don't have to do it alone.

AND I CAN HELP
Annie Rodas, MA
Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist
LMFT #138278
I promote healthy ways to cope with life's difficulties and work toward overcoming the obstacles that prevent individuals from attaining their goals and living the life God has called them to live. I am passionate about helping individuals dealing with relationship problems, parenting challenges, grief and loss, life transitions, and trauma.
I am a bilingual Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, and I obtained my Master's Degree in Clinical Psychology from Azusa Pacific University. I strive to provide a safe and collaborative space for each client and believe therapy can be a powerful tool for healing and new beginnings. I also believe in integrating spirituality at the comfort level of each individual, should they desire. I offer in-person therapy as well as Telehealth services in both English and Spanish.

CARE THAT MEETS YOU WHERE YOU ARE
We'll work to change both your thinking patterns and the larger story you tell about yourself. The goal is not only to manage or reduce current problems but also to help you see yourself in a new light.
You'll leave therapy with tools to tackle difficult thoughts and behaviors, along with a sense of agency in writing your own life story - moving from a place of feeling stuck to a place where you feel more empowered and in control.
GRIEF, LOSS, AND CONTINUING FORWARD
I work especially well with clients who have experienced loss and are carrying their grief quietly while continuing to meet the demands of their lives. Whether you’ve lost a loved one, a relationship, or a season of life, grief can coexist with responsibility—and it deserves space.
Therapy can help you make meaning of loss, honor what you’ve been through, and find a way forward that feels grounded and authentic.
ONGOING SUPPORT THAT EVOLVES WITH YOU
Some clients come to therapy for a specific concern. Others choose to continue even after that concern has resolved, using therapy as a consistent space for reflection, support, and perspective as new challenges arise.
This work doesn’t have to be crisis‑driven. It can be an ongoing investment in clarity, growth, and emotional well‑being.
THE TWO THERAPY METHODS WE USE, AND WHY THEY WORK
In our work together, we'll be combining two powerful approaches - Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and the Narrative approach - to help you understand and change the way you think, feel, and live your life.
In CBT, we'll explore how your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors are connected, recognizing how negative thoughts can lead to stress, fear, or avoidance of manageable situations. You'll learn practical tools, such as problem-solving skills and relaxation techniques, to cope with challenges and apply these strategies to everyday life.
The narrative approach helps us examine the larger story you've been telling about yourself, shaped by past experiences and struggles. We'll externalize the problem, separating it from your identity, and rewrite your story by identifying moments of strength, resilience, and creativity. We'll also uncover your values and strengths, helping you see yourself as capable of growth and change, thus creating a new, empowering narrative for your future.

If you will be utilizing Telehealth, please be sure to download Google Meet onto your device ahead of time to avoid taking away time from your session.
You don’t have to have everything figured out before reaching out. If you’re feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or simply need a place to think and process, therapy can help.
