WHEN LIFE FEELS HEAVY, IT’S HARD TO SEE A WAY FORWARD

Emotional pain can be subtle or overwhelming - grief that won't let go, relationship strain that wears you down, or stress that quietly builds. Without support, even small decisions can feel weighty. You may question your strength or feel disconnected from who you are. But reaching out is not defeat - it's courage.

And you don't have to do it alone.

Annie Rodas, MA
Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist
LMFT #138278

I am a bilingual Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist providing in‑person therapy in San Dimas and Telehealth throughout California. I work with adults navigating anxiety, grief, life transitions, relationship challenges, and the internal obstacles that prevent growth.

Clients often describe me as direct, thoughtful, and grounded. I strive to create a space where you feel safe sharing even the parts of your story that feel difficult or shame‑laden, while also helping you see patterns and perspectives you may not have noticed before.

I integrate spirituality and faith‑based perspectives when desired, always guided by the client’s comfort level and values. Therapy here is collaborative, respectful, and tailored to who you are.

Services are offered in both English and Spanish.

HOW THERAPY WORKS HERE

Our work together is both supportive and direct. Sessions often include space to vent and release, paired with thoughtful reflection that helps identify patterns, internal conflicts, and obstacles that may be keeping you stuck.

You can expect:

  • A safe, confidential space to speak freely

  • Insight‑oriented conversations that bring clarity

  • Practical tools you can apply in daily life

  • Respect for your values, beliefs, and pace

Many clients notice change first when they begin trying things we discuss in session—having different conversations, setting clearer boundaries, or approaching situations with more awareness and confidence.

GRIEF, LOSS, AND CONTINUING FORWARD

I work especially well with clients who have experienced loss and are carrying their grief quietly while continuing to meet the demands of their lives. Whether you’ve lost a loved one, a relationship, or a season of life, grief can coexist with responsibility—and it deserves space.

Therapy can help you make meaning of loss, honor what you’ve been through, and find a way forward that feels grounded and authentic.

ONGOING SUPPORT THAT EVOLVES WITH YOU

Some clients come to therapy for a specific concern. Others choose to continue even after that concern has resolved, using therapy as a consistent space for reflection, support, and perspective as new challenges arise.

This work doesn’t have to be crisis‑driven. It can be an ongoing investment in clarity, growth, and emotional well‑being.

THE TWO THERAPY METHODS WE USE, AND WHY THEY WORK

My work integrates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Narrative Therapy.

CBT helps us understand how thoughts, emotions, and behaviors interact, and provides practical tools to manage anxiety, stress, and avoidance.

Narrative therapy allows us to step back and examine the larger story you’ve been telling about yourself. Together, we separate you from the problem, identify strengths and values, and reshape patterns that no longer serve you—creating space for a more empowered way forward.

How does telehealth work?

Telehealth therapy is remote counseling conducted via video calls. It offers flexibility and convenience, allowing clients to access therapy from home or anywhere with internet, making it ideal for those unable to attend in-person sessions.

If you will be utilizing Telehealth, please be sure to download Google Meet onto your device ahead of time to avoid taking away time from your session.

You don’t have to have everything figured out before reaching out. If you’re feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or simply need a place to think and process, therapy can help.

When you’re ready, I invite you to schedule a consultation and take the next step toward clarity and support.
